Greening Australia is awarding grants of up to $30,000 to support Victorian farmers and landholders to positively impact land conservation, soil improvement and land productivity.

This grant is made possible by the legacy of Western Victorians John and Bette Mann, and honours their passion for incorporating environmental restoration and conservation into farming practices.

The first round of applications is now open, to be awarded by June 2023 for projects able to be completed by October 2024.

Criteria

Open to all landholders in Victoria, in relation to a Victorian property used for farming or agriculture, who:

  • Share the principles of Greening Australia’s land and productivity objectives: namely, activities that positively impact land conservation, soil improvement, and/or land productivity
  • Have a whole-of-property plan in place or are willing to implement one
  • Have no less than 15% of the total property set aside for the objectives given above

How to apply

Those who meet the criteria may apply for any amount up to $30,000, in support of activities that improve land conservation, soil condition and/or land productivity.

Completed application forms must be received by 30 April 2023.

Applications will be assessed during May – June 2023 with the successful grantee/s announced and awarded by 30 June 2023.
