Greening Australia unsubscribe procedure

All bulk emails must have an unsubscribe link in the footer.

Individuals may unsubscribe at any time from Greening Australia mailing lists and databases via the following methods:

  • An ‘unsubscribe’ link in an email, or
  • An online form, or
  • An email or phone call requesting removal from future direct marketing

The unsubscribe action will take place through the following method:

  • If the individual has used an ‘unsubscribe’ link in an email, they will be automatically removed from any future direct marketing or bulk emails within Greening Australia’s CRM. The individual will still receive functional emails related to donation activity if they choose to donate to Greening Australia in the future such as receipts.
  • If the individual unsubscribes using an online form, a member of the communications team will be notified and remove them from the relevant mailing list and/or flag to no longer receive direct marketing or bulk emails within 2 business days.
  • If the individual emails or phones the business requesting to be removed from future direct marketing, a member of the communications team will be notified and remove them from the relevant mailing list and/or flag to no longer receive direct marketing or bulk emails within 2 business days.

The individual will be notified that they’re unsubscribe request has been successful via an automated email response from the CRM or from a member of the communications team. This is included in the category of functional emails.
