Whitford Bushland Reserve Community Planting Day

You’re invited to join in with planting local native species at Whitford Bushland Reserve.

This reserve is maintained by the City of Playford who aims to protect and restore grassy woodland habitats to better support our local native fauna and the recovery of declining species of woodland birds such as the white-winged chough.

Working together with Kaurna People, City of Playford, Green Adelaide, and the local community, this event is part of Greening Australia’s Nature in Cities program, through the Cooling the Schools pilot in Adelaide which aimed to engage both schools and communities in tackling urban heat and cooling their neighbourhoods through restoring vegetation cover.

This partnership is supporting Council’s long-term strategy in delivering habitat restoration and reconnecting people with nature.

Refreshments and lunch will be provided. This event is FREE but please book a spot to help us manage numbers.
