National Tree Day – Ferguson Reserve

Camden Council is delivering its National Tree Day 2025 in partnership with Greening Australia, helping expand urban forest, cool the city and increase habitat for wildlife. The community tree planting day will replant a section of the riparian corridor along Matahil Creek, to the east of the Ferguson Reserve.

We will plant mixed River-flat Eucalypt Forest species with the aim to improve the condition of this endangered ecological community, providing important foraging, shelter and breeding habitat for our precious native wildlife and pollinators.

This event is a wonderful opportunity to join with other community members to make a difference. We invite you to register to join us for this important event.

This planting is part of Greening Australia’s Rewilding Sydney project, which is planting more than 170,000 native trees across Greater Sydney to help expand urban forest, cool the city and increase habitat for wildlife such as koalas. Rewilding Sydney is proudly funded by the NSW Government as part of the Greening our City program.
