Community Nursery Thinning Event

Be part of the team to help us thin out the seedlings, ready for planting out into our region.

Thinning seedlings is a fun social activity and a great opportunity to learn how Greening Australia grow some of our native species. Community volunteers play a vital role in producing native plants which underpin our landscape restoration activities. Ages 12 and up preferred.

Greening Australia volunteers produce nearly all the plants we use for our landscape restoration activities each year, so you will be playing a vital part in our revegetation work.
No experience is necessary for these activities and all you need to bring is a water bottle, enclosed footwear, a hat and a smile. For anyone under age 16, a guardian/carer is required to come along as well.

Refreshment: The Thinning activity will include dinner. Please email [email protected] if you have any specific dietary requirements. e.g. Vegetarian/Vegan/Gluten free/Dairy free/Nut allergies etc. We will do our best to accommodate your requests.

RSVP: Fri 24 February 2023. LIMITED SPACES available, so make sure you get in quick!
