About the Role

We are seeking a Commercial Delivery Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of contracted works across Australia.

This is a pivotal role sitting at the intersection of commercial rigour and on-ground delivery. You will ensure projects are planned, mobilised, delivered and closed out in line with contractual obligations, client expectations and Greening Australia’s high standards for safety, quality and impact.

Working closely with regional operations teams, project managers, finance and commercial colleagues, you will bring clarity, structure and momentum to complex delivery environments — managing risk, tracking performance and keeping projects on course.

If you enjoy turning contracts into real-world outcomes, navigating complexity, and building trusted relationships with clients and delivery partners, this role offers meaningful scope and influence.

This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and commercial accountability; applicants are encouraged to review the Position Description carefully before applying.

Key Activities

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of contracted projects, ensuring outcomes are achieved safely, on time and within budget
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate works in collaboration with regional and on-ground delivery teams
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients during the delivery phase, managing expectations through clear, professional communication
  • Monitor delivery performance against milestones, budgets and timelines, identifying and addressing risks or issues early
  • Manage contract administration, including variations, claims, reporting and performance obligations
  • Support effective mobilisation, execution and close-out of works
  • Embed strong safety, quality and risk management practices across all delivery activities
  • Contribute to the establishment and negotiation of new contracts where required, working closely with Legal, Finance and internal stakeholders

About You

The Essentials:

  • Demonstrated experience in project or contract delivery roles with commercial accountability
  • Strong understanding of contract management, including variations, claims and performance obligations
  • Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and deliver outcomes in complex operating environments
  • Sound financial and risk awareness, with experience managing budgets and delivery performance
  • Clear, confident communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, problem-solve and build trust

The Nice to Haves:

  • Experience in not-for-profit, infrastructure, environmental or service delivery sectors
  • Experience working with government or large commercial contracts
  • Formal qualifications in project management, construction management, engineering, business or a related discipline
