About the Role

As we strengthen our go-to-market approach and prepare for our next phase of growth, we are looking for a Philanthropy Manager to help build a more structured, targeted and scaleable philanthropy function.

The Philanthropy Manager is responsible for driving the acquisition and retention of philanthropic support across priority segments including Trusts and Foundations, Private Ancillary Funds and individual giving.

You will play a key role in building and managing a clear supporter pipeline — supporting progression from initial engagement through to long-term giving and partnership.

Working closely with Growth, Marketing and project teams, you will help connect donor opportunities with Greening Australia’s project pipeline and impact stories, contributing to a more coordinated and effective approach to philanthropy.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and manage relationships with priority philanthropic segments including Trusts and Foundations and Private Ancillary Funds
  • Contribute to the development and management of a structured supporter pipeline, supporting progression from supporter to donor and longer-term engagement
  • Deliver and optimise acquisition and retention strategies, including digital campaigns and targeted engagement activity
  • Develop and implement consistent and engaging supporter journeys across key segments
  • Support identification and prioritisation of key supporter opportunities aligned to organisational priorities
  • Ensure high-quality reporting, acquittals and stewardship of supporters
  • Monitor and report on campaign performance, revenue and key metrics, using insights to improve outcomes
  • Work collaboratively with Growth, Marketing and project teams to align supporter engagement with project opportunities and impact storytelling
  • Maintain accurate supporter records within CRM systems to support pipeline visibility and reporting
  • Utilise systems and processes to deliver a consistent, high-quality supporter experience
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of systems, processes and approaches to strengthen engagement and performance
  • Support stewardship activities and events

About You

You are a strong relationship builder who can engage and influence a range of stakeholders, and you’re motivated by delivering meaningful outcomes.

You may come from fundraising, partnerships, business development, marketing or a similar background — what matters most is your ability to build relationships, identify opportunities and drive results.

You will bring:

  • Strong stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills
  • Experience building and growing relationships that deliver outcomes (e.g. revenue, partnerships, engagement)
  • Ability to plan and deliver initiatives or campaigns that drive acquisition and retention
  • A data-informed approach, using insights to improve performance
  • Strong organisational and project management capability
  • Experience working across multiple customer or supporter segments.

Why Join Us

  • Be part of an organisation delivering real, measurable environmental impact
  • Work in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment
  • Opportunity to shape and grow a key revenue stream
