Employment type: Part-time (3 days per week), 12-month fixed-term

Salary: $70k + 13.25% super + salary packaging (full-time equivalent)

About the Role

We are seeking an Office Administrator to support our Edwardstown site, based on Kaurna Country.  Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth and effective operation the hub, supporting staff through high-quality administration, coordination, and communication across people, systems, and resources.

Key Activities

  • Act as the main contact for administrative and organisational support.
  • Respond to public, volunteer, and staff enquiries.
  • Provide local admin support to senior program and operations staff.
  • Manage office equipment, facilities, and vehicle fleet coordination.
  • Act as local IT champion, and support People & Culture and WHS activities.
  • Support recruitment, onboarding, and training record maintenance.
  • Prepare and follow up on monthly credit card reconciliations.
  • Contribute to internal and external communications.
  • Assist with tenders, proposals, and event coordination.
  • Provide scheduled call-in and operational support as needed.

About You

  • Proven experience in office or site administration, ideally within a not-for-profit, scientific, or community-focused organisation.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills, with the ability to manage enquiries from the public, volunteers, and staff with professionalism and warmth.
  • Strong organisational and time management abilities, capable of juggling multiple priorities including facilities maintenance, fleet coordination, and credit card reconciliations.
  • High level of written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear documentation and contribute to proposals and reports.
  • Confidence in supporting senior leaders, including Program Directors and Managers, with administrative tasks, tender preparation, and event coordination.
  • Tech-savviness and initiative, acting as the local IT and communications champion.
  • Experience in WHS administration, including induction processes, training record management, and committee support.
