Executive Director – Growth

Location: Sydney, NSW

Employment type: Full-time

Greening Australia are seeking a dynamic executive to join us in the role of Executive Director – Growth. Leading a small geographically dispersed team focused on developing corporate partnerships, this role is a key voice for the organisation and will lead the go-to-market strategy.

About us

Greening Australia Limited is a proudly independent environmental enterprise. A national not-for-profit, Greening Australia is committed to restoring Australia’s diverse landscapes, rebuilding nature together with partners, in ways that benefit nature, communities, and economies.  With projects spanning the breadth of the country – from city suburbs to rural locations – Greening Australia applies a science-led, collaborative approach to deliver nature-based solutions addressing the twin crises of climate change and biodiversity loss.

Greening Australia has subsidiary for-purpose companies that specialise in native seed and environmental markets. By combining strengths, Greening Australia delivers end-to-end restoration solutions with lasting impact. Any profit Greening Australia receives from these companies is reinvested into creating healthy and productive landscapes for people and nature.

About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and as a key member of the Executive team, the Executive Director – Growth’s (EDG) key focus will be on sales to new customers and being a voice for the organisation with customers and external audiences. The EDG plays a pivotal role in driving Greening Australia’s revenue generation and market expansion strategies. The new EDG will hold overall responsibility for Greening Australia’s revenue, growth, market positioning, and brand.

The EDG will be a transformational leader, well respected in the conservation or environment spheres. With a deep commitment to understanding the customer, they can identify potential partners, convey Greening Australia’s value proposition, and act as a translator between customer requirements and Greening Australia’s product offering. Through a strong customer-centric focus, the EDG, working closely with the CEO and other executives, will create multi-year partnerships that will enable achievement of Greening Australia’s 2030 strategy and restoration objectives.
