Securing the future of the Great Barrier Reef

Since 2016, Greening Australia has been taking practical action to meet the two greatest challenges facing the Great Barrier Reef: climate change and poor water quality.

We’re tackling both problems at once through work on land, rebuilding eroding land and restoring vital wetlands to stop harmful pollutants reaching the Reef.

Working with local landholders and Traditional Owners, we’re reforesting at a huge scale to improve water quality on the Reef, bring back biodiversity and capture carbon.

But the job is far from over – saving the Reef starts here.
