Music to help heal nature through “Secret Garden Inspiration Forest” 

The healing power of music and the restorative power of nature are being brought together in a new initiative, the Secret Garden Inspiration Forest.

We’re delighted to announce a new partnership between Greening Australia and internationally acclaimed Norwegian-Irish music duo Secret Garden, who are returning to Australia this November for their first national tour in more than 22 years.

Greening Australia’s CEO Heather Campbell said:

“Secret Garden has inspired millions of people around the world through music that celebrates hope, resilience and human connection. Through this partnership, we’re bringing those values together with something that inspires us every day: restoring nature.”

“Together, we’ve launched the Inspiration Forest, a special initiative that recognises the power of both music and nature to heal, inspire and create lasting change.”

As part of their tour, Secret Garden are donating $1 from every ticket sold to help restore Australian landscapes impacted by bushfires and environmental degradation.

Benny Wang, Director of Wise N Rise Pty Ltd and Australian Presenter of Secret Garden: Live in Australia 2026, said:

“For more than three decades, Secret Garden’s songs such as You Raise Me Up, Song From A Secret Garden, The Promise and Sometimes When It Rains have become the soundtrack to moments of hope and healing for people worldwide.

“Music can heal people. And in much the same way, nature has long been recognised as a source of restoration, resilience and wellbeing.

“The Inspiration Forest brings these two ideas together in a way that can create lasting impact beyond the concert hall. Every ticket plants hope.”

Alongside the environmental component, audiences are also being encouraged to reflect on the people who have supported and shaped their lives through the ‘Who Raised You Up?’ gratitude initiative.

The campaign invites people to acknowledge the parents, teachers, mentors, friends and others whose encouragement helped them grow.

“Just as people help us grow, we need healthy ecosystems for communities, wildlife and future generations to thrive,” said Heather.

“It’s a message that aligns closely with Greening Australia’s vision for healthy and productive landscapes where people and nature can thrive.”
