Be a Tree Hugger

Make a tax-deductible donation before June 30.

We don’t just hug trees – we plant them too (lots of them). Your donation helps restore habitat and plant trees across Australia.

We need to urgently restore habitat across Australia. Conserving what we have left simply isn’t enough. Land degradation and habitat loss threatens the intricate web of life that sustains our planet.

Your support can transform fragmented landscapes into living, breathing corridors of hope, where endangered species can recover, biodiversity can flourish, and nature can heal itself.

Last year, with the support of people just like you, we:

  • Planted over 3.6 million native plants to restore our ecosystems
  • Established 3,688 hectares of crucial habitat
  • Sequestered 36,880 tonnes of carbon from our atmosphere
  • Prevented a staggering 13,901 tonnes of water pollutants from reaching the Great Barrier Reef

With your tremendous support we’re taking practical, on-ground action to restore Australia’s iconic landscapes. But we can’t keep it up without your help.

Please donate generously.

All gifts over $2 are tax deductible.

How can your donation help?

$30 can help restore habitat for the Glossy Black-Cockatoo

Once common on mainland South Australia, the Glossy Black-Cockatoo are now locally extinct due to large-scale land clearing. However, on nearby Kangaroo Island there is a healthy population that could recolonise the mainland. We’re planting tens of thousands of  trees – a mixture of drooping she-oaks for food and eucalypts for future nesting hollows – in a bid to repopulate the mainland with the subspecies of the Glossy Black-Cockatoo found on Kangaroo Island.

$80 can help create green spaces in schools

We work with students and teachers to plant thousands of trees in schools and community spaces, creating shade and places to play for children, as well as creating critical habitat for our native animals. By donating to Greening Australia you can help Aussie kids learn about the environment, while they get their hands dirty planting trees.

$150 can restore Eastern Quoll habitat in Tasmania

Tasmania’s isolation has made it a refuge for the iconic Eastern Quoll which is considered extinct on the mainland. Sadly, their population is now in decline in Tasmania too. We are working to restore 15,000 hectares across the extensively cleared Tasmanian Midlands by 2030, creating biodiverse corridors for threatened species like the Eastern Quoll.

$250 can help large scale restoration at Glandore

Your donation helps us to restore nature in places like Glandore, on the Eyre Peninsula, where the critically endangered Sheoak Grassy woodlands are suffering from the impacts of land clearings, bushfires and invasive pests. We have a vision to restore 2,000 hectares of land at Glandore, connecting isolated ecosystems and providing habitat for our native animals. We’ve planted 700 hectares so far – your donation helps us to continue our vital work restoring Australian landscapes.

We’re not just smiling for the camera. We’re grinning because trees are getting planted.
