Meet the team

Martin Potts is part of Greening Australia’s wetland restoration team in the Gippsland Lakes, working to bring water, habitat and wildlife back to this changing landscape. He helps plan and build the region’s network of frog bogs, and has worked to restore landscapes across Victoria for over 25 years.

Working alongside Traditional Owners, local landholders and scientific community groups, Martin brings practical experience and ecological insight to each site. He also monitors water levels, vegetation and wildlife activity to understand how restored habitats respond over time.

“Some of our most threatened species rely on these wetlands so we’re doing a lot of work to try and look after them. Every contribution – big or small – helps us restore places that wildlife rely on and people care deeply about.
