Beth believes that positive change and a legacy of meaningful impact means building partnerships across community, industry, NFP sector, enterprises and incorporating innovative tech and capability. As Director for Strategy & Capability at Greening Australia, this is exactly what she does. Beth leads our People and Culture division, fostering a strong high-performing culture within the business, as well as building the framework to support the growth of Greening Australis’s capability now and into the future. She also leads our Strategic Initiatives division who deliver innovative programs that help turn Greening Australia’s strategic vision for 2030 into real and tangible actions. She is a board director for GA’s subsidiary companies Biodiverse Carbon and Nindethana Seed.
With a PhD in Marine Science & climate impact, Beth has 20 year’s experience in the environment industry. She has held leadership roles across Emergency Management & Response and Sustainable Industry sectors in Australia and New Zealand, as well as Victorian State Government policy in Land Management, Climate Change and Business Operations. She has a passion and commitment to building a high-performing culture and empowering people to deliver, innovate, be brave in taking risks and achieve impact. In 2020 she was awarded the Top 50 Women in the Public Sector for her leadership and service to the community in her role as Deputy Chief Fire Officer, Gippsland (Forest Fire Management Victoria) during the 2019-20 black summer events.
