Carbon Field Day

The carbon market provides an opportunity to fund large scale revegetation and conservation projects on private land. Greening Australia has partnered with landholders for 40+ years, and more recently has been helping them access the carbon market; providing the capital to accelerate their farm plans, generate their own carbon credits or secure additional sources of income from planting trees.   We will also discuss opportunities for smaller projects outside of the carbon market supported by the NSW Government’s Saving Our Species program.

Come and see a carbon planting in action

We’re hosting a field day so attendees can see a carbon planting of more than 30,000 stems, designed to improve stock management, protect the property’s waterways and create habitat for woodland birds such as the superb parrot.

Hear from landholders, carbon experts and ecologists about how and why the project was undertaken and the types of projects that might suit your land. Benefits may include:

• Capital investment into your farm, through fencing and better livestock management
• Protecting creeks and waterways and addressing historical erosion
• Generating an income from the trees or your own carbon credits (insetting)
• Restoring native woodland on your property, supporting threatened bird species
