Education and awareness-raising play a core role in all of our work. To help instill a sense of stewardship in our environment and build people’s skills to help care for it, we offer a range of non-accredited education and training programs for individuals, schools and Indigenous communities across Australia. View our training and events calendar to find out what is happening in your area.
Our school programs provide children of all ages with the opportunity to learn about their local environment and its native plants and animals, and how they can help conserve and protect them into the future. Over the past 35 years, hundreds of students across Australia have participated in our education programs and events, helping to create tomorrow’s nature carers.
Our Sustainability Learning Centre in Hobart is a purpose-built educational facility which offers environmental learning programs for students and the community.
The six star green star centre, set on 65 ha of native bushland, provides a space for students, teachers and the community to reconnect and be inspired by their local environment.
Our Publications library contains a broad range of learning resources including fact sheets, lesson guides and activities sheets to help students and teachers learn and care for their environment.
