Seed Officer – Richmond, Western Sydney

Greening Australia are seeking candidates for the above position to work with our dedicated and experienced Seed Team at our Seed Production Area in Richmond, Western Sydney.

Greening Australia is a proudly independent, not-for-profit organization, with over 150 staff in 30 locations around the country. We have been conserving and restoring Australia’s landscapes since 1982. Our team uses the latest science to guide our conservation strategies to return life to landscapes and bring balance to the natural environment.

Scope of Position:

The primary objective of the position is to work with our existing teams to provide support in seed operations in an efficient, practical and safe manner. Works include collecting/cleaning/storage and maintenance of seed production areas and project sites.

  • 3 – 5 years’ industry experience and/or qualifications in Horticulture or CLM
  • Native Plant knowledge
  • Demonstrated competence in written and oral communication skills, including the use of Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Current “c” class licence
  • Broad-acre chemical management (including Chemcert)
  • Whitecard and agricultural equipment training (including irrigation systems)
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative and problem solve
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a small team and independently.
  • Demonstrated ability to act professionally and responsibly and follow due process and procedures
