Tasmania Island Ark – Business Unit Leader

Greening Australia is Australia’s largest, national, not-for-profit environmental organisation with a mission to conserve and restore landscapes at scale through collaborative, science-based and innovative conservation programs.

The Tasmania Island Ark – Business Unit Leader is the key leadership role in the Tasmanian business and will be responsible for the planning and delivery of key projects for social and environmental outcomes across the full range of Greening Australia programmes including our national flagship Tasmanian Island Ark project. Opportunities existing in the following areas:

  • large scale restoration and associated management services
  • biodiversity offsetting
  • carbon farming
  • mine site rehabilitation and
  • capacity building

This is an excellent opportunity for a 10-year plus experienced General Manager with an understanding of environmental issues and programs across Tasmania to showcase your specialist knowledge and high-level operational management skills. The work you will lead will be across a wide range of landscapes within Tasmania, in collaboration with our partners, researchers, practitioners and the community. Your contribution will play a significant part in the overall success of Greening Australia both in Tasmania, and nationally.
