About Veg Futures 08

Back by Popular Demand
Building on the success of Veg Futures 06 held in Albury, Veg Futures 08 will focus on the most pressing issues facing our unique natural landscapes: climate change, water conservation and management, and maintaining and promoting biodiversity within a native context.

The Veg Futures 08 format includes keynote addresses, workshops and paddock sessions, covering a diverse range of topics and encouraging participation and interaction as part of the experience.

Addressing the Challenges of Today and the Future
The conference will also be a platform for a range of international and domestic experts to present leading edge thinking on climate change science and policy, exploring how this relates to and the implications for vegetation and water management.

Veg Futures 08 provides an opportunity to show leadership in the management of our natural resources and environment, along with an opportunity to engage with over 500 delegates, including senior researchers, policy advisors, regional Natural Resource Management (NRM) organisations, NRM practitioners and land managers.

Our audience
Veg Futures 08 is geared towards Natural Resource Management (NRM) organisations, NRM practitioners, farmers, regional planners, policy makers, and researchers – in fact, anyone involved in vegetation management.
