Seed supply in Victoria
Greening Australia operates and assists in the operation of regional seedbanks throughout Victoria and the Murray Valley.
These facilities are operated principally as partnerships involving community groups, government and non-government organisations. Most of these facilities are able to provide seed collection, cleaning, storage and testing.
Greening Australia also maintains databases of other service providers in areas related to seed and plant supplies.
Alcoa Portland Seedbank
Alcoa Portland Seedbank services the south western region in the coordination and collection of seed and the provision of technical information. It also offers a trading service for many local seed species and supports grassland and seed orchard projects filling a gap in land restoration and biodiversity needs.
