Greening Australia – a Registered Training Organisation

As Australians continue to recognise the importance of managing our unique landscapes, especially in the face of global climate change, there is a growing need for skilled people.

As Australia’s largest not-for-profit environment organisation, with over 350 skilled staff, Greening Australia is well placed to meet this need. It’s a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) providing nationally accredited training in Conservation and Land Management-related areas.

Greening Australia’s training’s services build bridges between communities, industries, and research centres to promote learning and environmental action. We specialise in flexible delivery of programs, in the workplace or in the paddock, and are able to tailor programs to meet individual needs. We can also assist in identifying available funding opportunities and offsets to minimise the costs to the end-user.

We currently offer a range of training programs that include industry compliance such as Agricultural Chemicals Distribution Control requirements and Legislative Vehicle Hygiene procedures. We offer a range of short courses in areas such as:

  • Weed ecology and treatment
  • Plant identification
  • Erosion and sediment control
  • Plant propagation
  • Natural area management

Greening Australia also offers full Conservation and Land Management qualifications including both project-based and existing worker traineeships. In addition, we can provide a number of non-accredited programs in areas such as environmental legislation, community engagement and bush regeneration.
