In Queensland Greening Australia draws together skills and knowledge from the community, research, and industry to bring you practical information, tested in the real world. Our programs include staff training for cutting edge environmental management, workshops aimed at community and industry, and customised accredited training to suit your needs.
We provide training for:

- state and federal government departments
- environmental professionals
- infrastructure providers, including mining, power and transport companies
- bush regenerators and botanists
- community groups and residents.

The Training Team
Chris Hoffman
Chris's primary role has been to deliver and coordinate on-ground solutions to vegetation management challenges. Through this work he has practical experience, skills and knowledge of vegetation restoration, large scale plantings, weed control, rural fencing, monitoring and staff supervision. Chris also has a good foundation when it comes to effective staff management, plant propagation and maintaining plant health from working as a nursery manager for a number of years. Chris is now very excited to be able to impart his extensive experience and knowledge to the training department delivering a selection of courses that form part of the Certificate II and III in Conservation and Land Management.
Doug Mohr
Doug has worked in the ecological restoration field in Queensland for over 15 years. Having managed, reported on and researched over 100 sites in the SEQ area he possesses the necessary skills to assess natural and built area sites within state legislative and local government policy frameworks, develop and implement rehabilitation plans accordingly, and lead teams in the implementation of such projects. Doug plays a lead role in Greening Australia’s successful vegetation offsetting team to bring and further develop his knowledge in this interesting field.
Doug’s involvement in training throughout his career includes delivering Certificate II in Conservation and Land Management to Green Corps participants and indigenous trainees and Florabank guidelines for Seed Collection.
Mal Siegel
Mal is proactive in the workplace and has extensive experience in Horticulture and Land Management. Mal’s skills and team mentality make him perfect for project management and team leadership. Mal has training qualifications and experience in CaLM and has the ability to impart his considerable technical and practical knowledge. Mal has excellent communication skills and enjoys teaching, having worked with a wide range of industry and Indigenous groups and training for prison inmates.
