Our People

Volunteers green Queensland
Greening Australia's work would not be possible without the support provided by volunteers and all contributions are valued.
Volunteers help out on every aspect of our environmental restoration programs; from collecting and growing seed, to tree planting and site maintenance, including weed control and fencing. Those less fond or less able to get their hands dirty can help out in the office and in planning and running community events. It’s more than just planting trees, although there’s plenty of that to be done.
In Queensland, volunteers make up the community face of the organisation and are provided with a structured and professionally managed program offering a diverse range of activities around the care and protection of our natural environment. Volunteers include dedicated individuals, schools, corporate and community groups. Queensland’s volunteer program is as diverse as its volunteers and prides itself on the premise that one size does not fit all.
