Integrating conservation on Queensland farms

Greening Australia is working with Queensland farmers to find practical ways to increase farm profits while adopting sustainable land management practices, thus integrating conservation and production.

Greening Australia technical staff work with farmers on all aspects of property management and offer assistance in understanding requirements and obligations under native vegetation legislation.

The team offers specialist advice in remnant vegetation management, pest and weed control, wetland protection and erosion management.  It trains farmers in useful skills such as aerial photograph interpretation and its use in property planning and offers advice on increasing production, especially sustainable pasture improvement.  The Greening Australia team prides itself on its technical skills and in-depth knowledge of rural communities and the challenges they face.
