Greening Circle

Greening Circle is an exciting initiative of Greening Australia that gives members an opportunity to engage with others on key environmental issues facing local and global communities.

Greening Circle highlights the importance of individual and business action, while providing a simple and effective method of supporting Greening Australia's science-based revegetation programs. Join the revolution and help restore one of Australia’s biodiversity hotspots – Habitat 141.

All funds raised through Greening Circle will be used to restore and reconnect the iconic landscapes that span the South Australian and Victorian borders (along the 141st meridian of longitude), and link these to the New South Wales rangelands. A 50 year initiative, Habitat 141 aspires to address challenges such as climate change and biodiversity loss. To achieve it’s vision, 50 000 hectares of biodiverse revegetation and 50 000 hectares of vegetation enhancement will need to be established across highly fragmented agricultural lands. Learn more about Habitat 141 here.

Greening Circle was formed in 2006 in response to the growing awareness of environmental issues in the wider community. In 2008 it's message and goals resonate louder than ever.

Through your participation you will receive a bi-monthly e-bulletin, invitations to forums focusing on topical environmental issues, enjoy exclusive access to events, and for the more adventurous, have the opportunity to participate in on-ground revegetation activities.

We welcome annual donations at four levels of membership:

  1. 1. Associate - $1000
  2. 2. Partner -$3500
  3. 3. Leader - $5000
  4. 4. Corporate - $7500

Our past events

Over the last two years, Greening Circle supporters have rolled up the sleeves and involved themselves in community plantings throughout Melbourne and regional Victoria, most notably, Project Hindmarsh which in the past 10 years has reconnected over 1800 km of roadside vegetation to link the Big and Little Desert National Parks.

Our social events have included business breakfasts, partnership launches and exclusive cocktail parties, like the unforgettable event hosted at Richard and Jeanne Pratt’s home ‘Raheen’ in 2007.

Greening Circle is your opportunity to make real connections and a contribution that will make a lifetime of difference.
